Witney Carson, a two-time mirrorball champion on Dancing With the Stars, is pregnant and returning for season 35 of the show. This marks a first for the series, as Carson will be the first pro dancer to enter an installment while pregnant. The news was revealed on Good Morning America, where it was also announced that Carson will be partnered with Guillermo Rodriguez. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Carson expressed her excitement about the upcoming season, stating that she loves dance, competition, and being on the show, and that she also loves being a mom and wants to grow her family. She and her husband had many conversations with the show's casting director, prioritizing their and their child's health. Carson has performed while pregnant on Dancing previously, announcing her pregnancy during the season 31 semifinals in 2022. She is currently in her second trimester and is excited to dance while pregnant, something she has never done before. Working while growing a human will be a challenge, but Carson believes it will be inspiring and that people will embrace it. Her GMA appearance coincides with the release of her episode as a guest judge on Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro. Carson and her husband, Carson McAllister, share two sons, and she has won two seasons of Dancing With the Stars, including season 19 in 2014 alongside Dancing co-host Alfonso Ribeiro. Season 35 of Dancing With the Stars will premiere on September 15 and 16, with the full cast being announced on September 2 on GMA.
